AirRivals is an innovative 3D action game. In this massive multilayer online game (MMOG), players pilot their own Space Fighter (Gear) through the sky above the surface of a planet. While the action in the air provides you with all the thrills of a first-person shooter, you can also increase your skills and improve your Gear level by level - just like in an RPG. In AirRivals, you have full control over your Gear's movement - quite different from traditional RPGs with their mouse-click controls! But be careful: Your enemies will also attack from every direction and you can come under fire at any time. So always be on your guard and stay concentrated!

Missions

AirRival missions are similar to quests in any RPG. As it is a flight shooting game though, there exist many different space missions in large quantities keeping players interested and excited. When a mission is accomplished the player moves on in the story of the game and receives items as a reward which provide an intense game depth.

Battle Formation and Brigade System

AirRivals, not unlike other role-playing games, has a group and a guild system. The group system is the so-called 'formation'. Up to six players can become members of a group and move forward in a formation flight (triangle, x-form etc.). The battle wing is led by a formation leader. The guild system is called 'brigade'. Up to 30 players can join a brigade to go into battle with their leader. Leaders can determine an own individual insignia to differentiate their brigade from others.

Battles and Mother Ship Wars

Three-dimensional battles on land and in the air make for an absolutely new gaming experience: There aren't just small 'feuds' like one to one duels occurring between players, but also large scale battles like mother ship wars, outpost wars and strategic point wars. Declare war on an enemy brigade, arm yourself for battle and go into battle with your comrades.

The nation's leader

The leader is often described as the 'president'. He determines his nation's laws, governs the economy and commands the military. Becoming the leader not only gives you a lot power, but also endless responsibilities. It's up to the leader whether negotiations with the other side are resolved peacefully or whether war is declared.

AirRivals' story

The largest nation among Phillon's inhabitants is Bygeniou City Union (BCU). Their ultimate goal is to unite the planet under their government. This mission is pursued doggedly and with compromise -- coexistence with other nations and raced is simply dismissed. The resistance movement gave rise to the Arlington National Influence (ANI). supported by the Vatullus, they established their own government and now find themselves in open conflict with the BCU, whose government designate them as rebels. ANI possesses a crack army and excellent pilots, but they control only limited resources, and are not able to attain information about the raw mineral deposits of Phillon. But even some BCU cities and certain eastern regions have had to struggle with resource shortages. And so they decided to reactivate the Atum Project, which had been all but forgotten during the conflicts. But all that was left were the imperfect and fragmentary memories of some of researchers ...

The scientists who worked on the Atum Project often avoided public recognition out of fear of possible negative consequences. When the resources had been exhausted, the project was officially discontinued, but research continued in secret. Volunteers cam from every city with available workers or scholars. When a leading technician changed sides and gave the construction plans to the rebels, the authorities had to make a deal: Since the success of the overall project was seen as more important than simple competition for resources, they made a secret pact of cooperation with the rebel troops. Thus, the Atum Project triggered the war between ANI and BCU.
